There is currently a shortage of teachers and para educators, both in California and throughout the Nation. Some teachers enter the field and find the rigor too great; and leave the field after a relatively short period of time. This shortage is evident across academic, career education, and adult education teachers. To assist districts in attracting, hiring and retaining teachers, we offer the following services:
- Advising aspiring Career Technical Education (CTE)/Adult Education teachers and administrators on the credential application process (referral to an approved Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) agency.
- Mentoring new and veteran teachers is provided by fully credentialed CTE and/or Adult Education educators
- Coaching new and veteran teachers including classroom observations and meeting with school administrators to discuss a plan of action and progress reports
- Recruiting for Career Technical Education and Adult School teacher and administrator positions
- Recruiting paraeducators for public and private schools
- Training and career exploration for aspiring para educators
- Post-employment training for new and experienced para educators
